There is a variety of equipment available to hire through the NNUF Hot Robotics facilities. These include Manipulators, Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), Sensors & Detectors, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs).
The NNUF Hot Robotics facility is arranged across three regional nodes with four research partners: RACE (UKAEA), University of Bristol, University of Manchester and the National Nuclear Laboratory. The facilities have Testing & Demonstration spaces for users.
Do you know about the NNUF User Access Scheme Fund?
If you are a UK-based university researcher, the equipment can be hired for free from the Hot Robotics Facilities, by applying to the NNUF User Access Scheme Fund.
You are eligible to apply if your proposed research project is nuclear based and is not already funded by EPSRC. Further eligibility criteria can be found here.
Applications under £5k can be submitted at any time. Applications over £5k will be considered in rounds, every three months. Information on the next round is available here.
If you are interested in hiring our equipment or using our facilities, contact us by email to discuss your nuclear research project. We will also help you to complete the form.
